Note:

A woman whose husband is in prison because he was unable to pay the poll tax, asks Samuel ha-Nagid to pay a part of the sum due, to guarantee the rest, and to provide herself and her family "with bread", including for her husband the prisoner.
Documents referring to Samuel b. Ḥananyah as the Nagid date between 1141-1159.
The hand of this copy is recognized to that of Mevorakh ben Nathan he-Ḥaver, a clerk, judge and scribe in the court of Fustat, between 1150, serving under his father, until 1181, when he served under Maimonides. He appears in the list of judges assembled by S.D. Goitein, A Mediterranean Society vol. II Appendix D, no. 22.
