The upper part of a letter of thanks. The author, a native of Palermo, Sicily is writing from Alexandria to Abu Zikhri Yaḥiya, a banker in Fustat. In the postscript, Ḥaim asks him to send the silver spoon that he had forgotten there.
These same two parties appear together on a list of contributors in New York JTSA ENA 2727, 11. There our writer is also referred to as Abu Zikhri. See also, Goitein, A Mediterranean Society vol. V p. 233.
