- Binding: Bundle of seven leaves, fastened together with a string running through the center margin of each leaf. At the end of each side of the string are Chinese coins. Leaves are cased in two heavy wooden covers at the front and back.
Illustrations of a small Balinese palm leaf manuscript (lontar) showing scenes from a retelling of the Hindu epic, the Ramayana. The scenes feature a forest setting where Maricha disguises himself as a golden deer to lure Rama from the hermitage. Other characters pictured are Rama and Sita.
