Ms. codex. Title from title page (fol. 2a). 15 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red for headings and text-stops. The text is vocalized. Cream paper with pulp and laid lines visible. Fibers visible on the surface. Occasional marginal annotations, some in Persian (see fol. 127b). Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals. On fol. 1b: Family tree of the prophet Muḥammad. On fol. 129b: Ṣūrat al-ḥamd... Inscription in Roman script on fol. 1b: "Y91". Collation: Paper, fol. 130, i ; 110 (fol. 1 consists of two leaves pasted on one another) 2-1310 + i (later added endpaper) ; the quires are numbered using Arabic ordinals in the form "thānī" (see fol. 11a) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf, apparently by a later hand. Copy completed on 6 Rajab 709 by ʻAlī ibn Aydughmush(?) al-Khalīlī al-Bikāwī [Dec. 10, 1309] (colophon, fol. 127b). Several ownership statements on fol. 2a. Waqf statement in the name of al-Ḥājj Muṣṭafá al-ʻAlamī(?), dated 15 Shawwāl 1245 [April 9, 1830]. Acquired from Abraham Shalom Yahuda, 1942.
