Physical description: 23 lines per page. Written in clear medium large naskh in black ink with use of red for headings. Dark cream paper with laid and chain lines visible ; frame-ruled. The upper part of fol. 1 is a later repair. Chiefly quinions. Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals (blank between fol. 40 and 41). Loose leaves.
Collation: Paper, fol. 247 ; 110 (-3 in the first half of the quire) 2-2510. Catchword on the verso of the first four leaves and the last leaf of each quire from fol. 7 on ; the quires are numbered using Arabic ordinals in the form "Tāsiʻ al-Ghurar" (see fol. 77a ; often cut off due to the trimming of the pages).
