Title from inscription on fol. 1a (other hand from "al-mashhūr bi-").
Physical description: 29 lines per page. Written in black ink with use of red. Fol. 1 is a later added leaf with inscriptions (European paper). Ḥāshiyah on the margin. Several inscriptions and short excerpts on fol. 2a and 242b. Title on tail of tex block (hardly legible). Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals. Inner margin worm-eaten ; stained with humidity ; mildew.
Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Tafsīr 61". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥ 247".
Origin: According to colophon, copied by Laṭīf ibn ʻAlī ibn Masʻūd for (li-ajli) al-Imām al-fāḍil ... (?) on 4 Rabīʻ al-Awwal 728 [Jan. 18, 1328] (fol. 242b, followed by verses of poetry).
Copyist: Laṭīf ibn ʻAlī ibn Masʻūd.
