Title from title page (fol. 1a). Part of the rest of the title is obliterated, reading : "wa-huwa [...] min kitābihi raḥimahu Allāh taʻālā" (see also colophon, fol. 343b: "tamma hadh[...] min hādhā al-kitāb").
In the Persian translation of this work (see GAL, SI, 592), the author's name is Abū al-Ḥasan ibn Hayṣam. The name Ibn Hayṣam is also written on two modern labels on our ms. (on the pastedown of the upper and lower cover respectively). For the date 400 H. [1009] associated to the author, see fol. 213b.
29 lines per page, verses of poetry in two columns. Written in thick medium large naskh in black ink with use of red (R. Mach: Yemenite hand), on European glazed paper (frame-ruled, 7 mm.).
