Manuscript consists of 204 original leaves preceded by 8 leaves added later. Manuscript is erroneously foliated beginning on the first leaf of the later addition; record follows erroneous foliation.
Physical description: 21 lines per page; written in small, neat naskh in black on cream glazed, laid Arabic paper. Headings in large script; catchwords and occasional rubrication. A few marginal notes. Foliated in Arabic script beginning on leaf 9. Light staining and smudging; front cover and leaves 1-16 detached.
Origin: Juzʼ 1 completed 15 Jumādá I 959 H [9 May 1552], by Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad ibn ʻAlī ibn Muḥammad Iṣfahānī (leaf 108b).
On leaf 2a, owner's note and stamp of Muḥammad Bāqir al-Najafī. On leaf 9a, owner's notes by ʻAbd Allāh ibn Muḥammad Riḍā ibn Muḥammad Bāqir and Shaykh Khiḍr ibn Shallāl. On leaf 10a, owner's note and stamp of Jaʻfar Ḥusaynī, as well as other effaced notes and stamps. On leaf 10b, stamp of Muḥammad Riḍā. Acquired from Abraham Shalom Yahuda, 1942.
