Title from colophon, leaf 301b. First letter of title is missing due to tear in paper.
Manuscript erroneously foliated beginning on the first flyleaf. Record follows erroneous foliation.
Physical description: 23 lines per page; written in neat naskh in black on glazed, laid paper. Leaves 4-138 are on Arabic paper, while leaves 139-301 are on European paper. There appears to be a change of hands at this point, although the ink used for rubrication is the same color. Rubrication and catchwords; marginal notes. Some staining and numerous paper repairs, particularly to the last leaf.
Origin: 23 Muḥarram 1114 H [19 June 1702], by Ibn Abū [!] Turāb ʻAbd al-Khāliq (leaf 301b).
On first flyleaf, owner's note and stamp of Muḥammad Jaʻfar ibn Aḥmad al-Ḥusaynī, and note of Ibn Aḥmad al-Ḥusaynī Muḥammad Bāqir, dated 1324 H [1906 or 1907]. On second flyleaf, owner's note and stamp of Muḥammad Jaʻfar (different handwriting and stamp from that on first flyleaf). Two smudged stamps on third flyleaf. Owner's stamp on leaf 13b. Partially smudged owner's stamp on leaf 301b. - Keyword:
