Physical description: 22 lines per page. Written in thick medium small taʻlīq in black ink with use of red. Occasional annotation on the margin. Fol. 297a-301b, 305a-b: Blank.
Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Thānī 385". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "972/2 ḥāʼ". Traces of a now wanting horizontal label on the fore-edge flap, with title in Arabic.
Origin: Copy completed on 1 Ṣafar 1249 [June 20, 1833] by Dāwud Ḥajjīw ibn Aḥmad ibn ʻUmar ibn Muḥammad (colophon, fol. 390a).
Buying statement (from the heirs of Dāwud Ḥajjīw al-Chūkhī, Rabīʻ al-Awwal 1270 [Dec. 1853]) and waqf statement by Imām Shamīl ("al-Imām Shamwīl"), dated 1270 H. [1853 or 4], with his seal. Acquired from Abraham Shalom Yahuda, 1942.
