Ms. codex. Title from fol. 1a (written by a later hand). 19 lines per page. Written in small naskh in black ink with use of red. The text is framed within two red fillets on fol. 2b and a single red fillet on fol. 3a. Light cream paper with laid and chain lines visible. Fol. 1 is a later fly-leaf with inscriptions on European glazed paper with watermark. Notes and short excerpts on the margins : some notes are attributed to al-ʻIbrī (see fol. 108a... Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "ʻAqāʼid thānī 139". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥāʼ 1072". Several ownership statements on fol. 2a, including one in the name of Tāj al-Dīn Afandī ; one in the name of Dhū al-Fiqār Afandī ; one dated 1090 H. [1679 or 80], with seal. Obliterated seals throughout (see fol. 3a). Acquired from Abraham Shalom Yahuda, 1942.
