According to colophons of both copies the author of this gloss is Ḥusayn al-Khalkhālī, d. 1014/1605, but Ḥājjī Khalīfah, Kashf al-ẓunūn, col. 2029, Brockelmann, GAL, I, 608 (commentary 5, gloss b), S I, 840, and Fihrist al-makhṭūṭāt (1961-63) I, 262 attribute it to Naṣr Allāh ibn Muḥammad al-Khalkhālī.
